Staffmark is partnering with a respected engineering firm in search of a Field Surveyor in Alexandria, LA. Pay Rate:
$16•$40/hr (Based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday | 8:00 AM•5:00 PM As a Field Surveyor, you’ll support a variety of surveying projects—ranging from boundary and topographic surveys to ALTA and construction layout work for residential, commercial, and infrastructure sites. You’ll use GPS units, robotic total stations, and data collectors to capture and verify accurate field data. Your work will directly support engineers and project managers, ensuring each project is completed to exacting standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist with boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys Operate and maintain GPS, robotic total stations, and related survey equipment Perform construction staking and data collection in the field Verify field measurements and maintain accurate records Interpret and follow engineering and survey plans Collaborate with survey crews and supervisors Work safely in varying outdoor conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
What You Bring:
2+ years of relevant surveying or civil experience Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and levels Strong understanding of land surveying principles and construction layout Ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Preferred:
