No out of State applicants please. The ideal candidate will have a background in land surveying techniques and technologies, including proficiency in CAD, GIS, and GPS systems. Responsibilities include working with data collection using survey instrumentation, prepare accurate field notes to aid in the preparation of survey and engineering design plans, construction layout for various development projects, as-built inspection. This role involves working on projects to gather and analyze data related to land boundaries, topography, and construction sites. The Land Surveyor will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate measurements and providing essential information for project planning and development. Duties Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and GPS technology. Prepare detailed schematics and maps that represent the surveyed areas. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide accurate survey data for construction projects. Utilize CAD software to create precise drawings and models based on survey findings. Analyze survey data using GIS tools, including ArcGIS, to assess land use and environmental impact. Apply principles of trigonometry to calculate distances, angles, and elevations during surveys. Maintain thorough documentation of survey results and methodologies for future reference. Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards related to land surveying practices. Requirements Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of surveying principles. Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed plans and designs. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and its application in surveying projects. Experience with GIS applications such as ArcGIS is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor environments.
