Land Survey Crew Chief CES Group Engineers, LLP Cary, NC 27513 CES Group Engineers, LLP, an award-winning multi-discipline firm serving the Carolinas and beyond, is seeking Survey Crew Chiefs, with five (5) years or more of applicable land surveying experience, to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC.

Job Responsibilities:

Assume primary responsibility for daily field surveying operations for a variety of project types, including, but not limited to, both public and private boundary, ALTA, topographic, design and construction surveying assignments Supervise and train survey technicians in the operation of Trimble robotic total stations, data collectors, GPS, and other equipment used in the collection of survey data. Organize, prioritize tasks, and direct safe, accurate, and efficient field survey data collection Perform routine calculations, and prepare clear and concise field notes and sketches Direct the survey crew in regular care and maintenance of vehicle, equipment, and supplies Communicate routinely with supervisors and support staff Work with a team, or independently, as needed

Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent Five (5) years or more of applicable land surveying experience, including experience as a crew chief Proficiency with current robotic instruments, data collectors, GPS, laptop/tablet computers, and data collection software. Experience with Trimble equipment is preferred. Must be self-motivated, and able to complete assigned tasks with limited guidance Good oral and written communication skills A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. A background check and drug test will be required as a condition of employment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs when needed.
