Survey Crew Chief Edward N. Herbert Associates, Inc. Windham, NH 03087 Job Summary We are seeking a Crew Chief to lead our surveying team in various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying and possess expertise in utilizing advanced technology and software; however, we are willing to train hardworking candidates. As the Crew Chief, you will be responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring accuracy in data collection, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the surveying process. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of survey technicians in the field to ensure efficient operations. Conduct land surveys using GPS, robotic, and other surveying tools. Prepare and review survey data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are calibrated and functioning properly. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project progress. Train junior staff on surveying techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of surveying principles, or willingness to learn these skills. Familiarity with CAD software for drafting and design purposes, or willingness to learn. Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations. Experience operating GPS equipment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety guidelines.
