Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations span multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life. Active areas include Galaxy underground, Cue open pit, and Penny underground, with a strong pipeline of future developments underway.
The Role
As a Graduate Mine Surveyor, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of spatial data across our operations. You’ll work alongside skilled professionals and rotate through both surface and underground environments to gain practical experience that supports certification and career progression.
You will:
Assist in daily pickups, mark-ups, and set-outs for mining and development activities
Support the maintenance of survey control networks and spatial databases
Contribute to the preparation of statutory mine plans and end-of-month reporting
Operate modern surveying equipment and software such as Leica, Trimble, and Surpac
Collaborate with technical services and production teams to ensure data precision
Uphold safety and environmental standards in all aspects of surveying work
Participate in project work and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You’re a coachable and detail-focused graduate who is eager to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced mining environment. You thrive on precision, problem-solving, and are ready to grow through hands-on experience.
You bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Surveying, Geospatial Science, or a related discipline
Prior vacation work or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
Familiarity with mine survey tools, GPS, or CAD software (advantageous)
A strong safety mindset and awareness of operational protocols
Clear and confident communication skills
An adaptable, proactive attitude and willingness to rotate through diverse roles
A current WA C Class (manual) driver’s licence and eligibility for a National Police Clearance
