As a Party Chief, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our team by supporting a range of projects by establishing the location of existing and planned pipelines as well as legal property lines in western Pennsylvania. Your primary responsibilities will include performing field surveys including boundary, topographic, and stakeout under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor, Professional Civil Engineer, and/or Project Manager. The ideal candidate has experience in providing quality survey data, using total station and

GPS. RESPONSIBILITIES

Research legal records, survey records, and land titles to gather information on boundaries in areas to be surveyed. Clearly communicate survey results to relevant stakeholders. Use measurements of surveying equipment to determine property lines and right-of-way boundaries. Conduct data collection and analysis for inclusion in technical reports and design drawings. While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work in outside weather conditions. Occasionally, you will work in precarious places and be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Three or more years of experience, and/or an Associate degree in surveying. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail required. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively within multiple levels of staff and clients. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documents and read engineering and survey plans. Proven practical skills in downloading data collected in the field. Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, project management software tools, and the ability to adapt to new software programs as needed. Experience in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus. Physical requirements may include the need for stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting. Valid driver’s license required.
