Site Construction Surveyor Job Description As a Site Construction Surveyor, you will perform construction stakeout, topography, as-built, and control surveys for various site features. You will utilize AutoCAD and Trimble GPS to extract and manage stakeout points from digital basemaps and construction drawings. Your role will involve interpreting engineering plans and translating them into accurate field layouts, while setting up and operating surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate field notes, records, and documentation of survey data, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure alignment with project requirements, and conducting as-built surveys to provide feedback for design adjustments as needed. Responsibilities Perform construction stakeout, topography, as-built, and control surveys for various site features. Utilize AutoCAD and Trimble GPS to extract and manage stakeout points from digital basemaps and construction drawings. Interpret engineering plans and translate them into accurate field layouts. Set up and operate surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors. Maintain accurate field notes, records, and documentation of survey data. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure alignment with project requirements. Conduct as-built surveys and provide feedback for design adjustments as needed. Essential Skills 2+ years of surveying experience. Experience with construction stakeout. Proficiency with Trimble GPS. Experience with AutoCAD. Knowledge of topographic surveys. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Carlson Survey. Ability to document field data accurately. Understanding of control points. Work Environment This position is based at the Homer City Coal Plant, an active construction site approximately one square mile in size. The project is set to last for three years, with an average workweek of around 50 hours.
