Job Description:

Apex Systems is seeking a full-time CAD Technician for a construction client with locations in Greenwood, SC or Charleston, SC. This position is a 3 mo. Contract-to-Hire position that will requires candidates to sit in office 5x per week. Occasion travel to job locations will be required as needed and company travel will be covered. Pay Range:

$22-30/hr. (commensurate with experience) 3 mo. Contract-to-Hire (conversion to full-time employee is based upon performance) 100% Onsite in either Greenwood, SC or Charleston, SC Occasional travel to job sites required for projects Potential for overtime available as well

Minimum Requirements:

A valid drivers license and acceptable 5-year motor vehicle record Pass pre-employment and random drug test. Acceptable criminal background check. AutoCAD experience or training. Be able to work effectively with other technical professionals. Write legibly and convey technical information effectively. Effectively communicate with managers and groups of co-workers

Job Responsibilities:

Create base maps for field crews from civil cad files. Create layout points for field crews. Import field data into jobs daily. Update progress maps daily. Make changes to plans as needed for approval. Keep plans updated and plotted for crew. Create and update daily the final record drawings for all active jobs. Assist the estimating department with bids. Assist field crews. Download and process drone videos. Build 3d models for machine control. Daily construction/utility stake out for multiple job sites.
