The Role You Will Play:

As a Construction Surveyor , you will play a critical role in the success of field operations, working directly with project managers, preconstruction, and field teams. You’ll be responsible for measuring, layout, inspection, and documentation of heavy civil construction projects using the latest Trimble GPS and drone technology .

Key Responsibilities Include:

Perform surveying and mapping duties for line and grade layout of clearing limits, earthwork, utilities, curb & gutter, paving, and as-built documentation Utilize Trimble GPS and drone tools to support project needs Establish fixed points and control benchmarks for field crews Maintain and troubleshoot GPS and surveying instruments for accuracy Verify construction data measurements and calculations on-site Coordinate with Preconstruction Manager, Project Managers, and engineering teams Build and maintain GPS models (experience preferred but not required) Participate in special survey projects and ensure field safety compliance

Required Skills & Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required; BS in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences or related field preferred 2+ years of construction surveying experience required (ideal candidates will have 7+ years) Proficiency with Trimble GPS systems, Topcon, and other survey equipment Strong understanding of construction and surveying methods Ability to read and interpret site plans and engineering drawings Experience with AutoCAD and construction layout procedures Strong math, IT, and problem-solving skills Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Surveying or drone license a plus This is a great opportunity to bring your surveying expertise to a company that values safety, excellence, and growth.
