Pay Ranges anywhere from $55k – $130k/yr. DOE Purpose Of The Position OpSource Pro is seeking an experienced and reliable Construction Surveyor to measure, layout, inspect, and document heavy civil construction projects. This company is looking for someone with two or more years of survey experience who can establish line and grade for field crew construction of clearing limits, earthwork, utilities, curb & gutter, paving and as built plans utilizing the latest in Trimble GPS and drone technology. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp on the methods, principles, and practice of surveying. The Construction Surveyor is instrumental to the company’s success. Responsibilities Perform surveying and mapping duties to be used to establish line and grade for field crew construction of clearing limits, earthwork, utilities, curb & gutter, paving, as built plans, mining, or other purposes utilizing the latest in Trimble GPS and drone technology. Establish fixed points to be used by field crews for use in constructing Heavy Civil projects, using geodetic, drone and engineering instruments. Maintain GPS and surveying instruments to maintain accuracy and proper GPS field data versions in the respective GPS enabled construction equipment. Establish horizontal and vertical controls that are required for site limits and heavy civil construction. Verify the accuracy of construction data, including measurements and calculations conducted at construction sites. Coordinate findings with the work of the Preconstruction Manager, Project Managers, engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects. Perform survey activities in a safe and effective manner. Participate in a variety of special survey projects as assigned. Ability to construct GPS models a plus. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED BS degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field preferred. Surveying and Drone license a plus. Proven experience as a Construction Surveyor or similar role. Working knowledge of Trimble GPS systems and other surveying equipment. Ability to read plans. Excellent math and IT skills. Experience with AutoCAD. Familiarity with construction and surveying procedures. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Good understanding of data analysis and interpretation. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. The ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem. High attention to detail and self-motivation skills. Work in a team environment and respect all teammates Physical demands and abilities. Regularly lift 30-50 pounds. Regularly perform repetitive tasks. Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. Working Conditions Physical Demands:
The Construction Surveyor has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects. The Construction Surveyor will have to work in all weather and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. The Construction Surveyor must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
Environmental Conditions:
The Construction Surveyor must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.

Mental Demands:
The Construction Surveyor must work independently and is expected to maintain a schedule of work. Any problems or inconveniences may result in increased stress to complete tasks in a limited time.
