Job Description
Land Surveyor OF Construction (Formally Owens Fisher Const) Columbia, SC OF Construction (formally Owens-Fisher Construction) is currently seeking an experienced Land Surveyor with three (3) or more years of applicable land survey experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assume primary responsibility for daily field surveying operations for a variety of project types, including, but not limited to, boundary, ALTA, topographic, design and construction surveying assignment.
- Organize, prioritize tasks, and perform safe, accurate and efficient field survey data collection.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs plus for site staking.
Requirements:
‐ A high school diploma or equivalent ‐ Two (2) years or more of applicable land surveying experience, including experience as a crew chief ‐ Proficiency with current robotic instruments, data collectors, GPS, laptop/tablet computers and data collection software. Experience with Topcon equipment and Topcon Pocket 3D software is preferred. ‐ Must be self‐motivated, and able to complete assigned tasks with limited guidance ‐ Good oral and written communication skills ‐ A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. ‐ A background check and drug test will be required as a condition of employment.
