Test Technician (Weekend Shift) Job Description This role involves supporting units through in-process testing and final testing, assisting with testing, training, and documentation. The position requires performing tests on electrical components of control panels, utilizing voltmeters and ohmmeters for various voltage levels. Responsibilities Perform testing on electrical components of control panels. Utilize voltmeters and ohmmeters to test 24v, 120v, and 480v electrical systems. Troubleshoot, debug, and diagnose electrical controls and faults based on client metrics. Report compliance using Excel and work with electrical assembly technicians to resolve issues. Suggest possible repairs and collaborate with the team. Assist in the build and manufacture of testers, fixtures, and tooling. Operate a personal computer using Windows-based operating systems and related software. Essential Skills Proficient knowledge of AC/DC and switch gears, HMI, and electrical systems. Understanding of controls, current flow, and AC/DC drives. Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics. Competence in troubleshooting, repair, and electrical testing. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in electronics, electromechanical, or electrical testing in manufacturing. Technical, vocational, or associate degree in lieu of hands-on experience. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, with electrical assembly areas. It is a quiet, team-oriented environment. The dress code requires composite toe or steel toe shoes, jeans or work pants, and t-shirts or polos. Job Type & Location This is a Full Time Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $30.00/hr.
