Duties and Responsibilities
Provides technical and engineering support, including technical proposals and cost estimates.
Performs traffic and transportation systems analysis, planning, and design.
Determines feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data.
Responsible for performance to scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsible for the performance of project staff.
Navigate jurisdictional staff and councils
Will perform a broad range of transportation engineering duties with responsibility for assisting in the development of projects for DOT and other agency standards, including existing condition and traffic survey, feasibility analysis, report writing, schematic design, and traffic engineering computation, including capacity and level of service analysis, corridor studies, transportation and micro-simulation modeling, final plans, specifications and cost estimates, and construction oversight.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree
A minimum of six (6) years experience in traffic engineering and design
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is required.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation software.
Experience using Synchro, PTV VISSIM, and modeling software.
Experience working with DOT is desirable.
Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) Certification is desirable
