Responsibilities Develop roadway geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways and highways based on applicable design criteria and specifications
Prepare engineering reports and contract documents
Work with and learn from experienced Roadway Engineers and Project Managers
Collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers in other transportation disciplines including Structures, Drainage, and Traffic
Provide engineering support for projects in construction
Assist with the development of marketing and project pursuit materials Required Skills & Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
2+ year of relevant experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projects
EI or EIT license or the commitment to obtain within one year
Knowledge of FDOT roadway design criteria and roadway plans production processes
Proficiency with Microstation Open Roads Designer
Ability to manage multiple projects and complete work in a timely fashion to meet project schedules
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
