Senior Highway Engineer Job Description We are seeking a high level Highway Engineer to join our growing Highway Department. This role is integral to our highway design practice, both within New Jersey and beyond. The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced team, providing engineering design services for highway, bridge, traffic, planning, and safety projects. This position offers the opportunity to lead tasks on transportation projects, from concept development through to final design. Responsibilities Perform engineering design tasks for transportation projects, including horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway cross sections, traffic maintenance and protection, SE&SC, drainage design, and stormwater management. Provide highway and civil design services for highway, bridge, traffic, planning, and safety projects. Serve as task leader on transportation projects. Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and PS&E packages. Perform field inspections of existing or ongoing construction project sites. Prepare and check design calculations. Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality work within established budgets and schedules. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years experience working on highway projects. Experience with

Turnpike, NJ Counties, and MPOs is advantageous. Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil design software. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in civil engineering, highway design, and bridge design. Knowledge of transportation engineering and traffic analysis. Work Environment This position is based in our Cherry Hill office, requiring presence three days a week, with the flexibility to manage your team.
