Job Description
Manage quality control of automobile parts production processes;Analyze statistical data of product specifications, process audits, and nonconforming automobile parts;Investigate quality issues, establish countermeasures for the issues, and coordinate the implementation of the countermeasures;Validate all corrective actions for quality issues;Conduct various quality tests and ensure that all automobile parts pass required quality tests;Support internal and external quality audits and establish follow up action plans for the audits;Use statistical techniques and analytical methods to achieve effective problem solving, root cause discovery, and correction actions;Establish quality standards and quality control plans and procedures;Develop inspection methods and standards for efficient and effective quality issue detection;Work with final inspectors engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous compliance with specifications, customers requirements, and quality standards;Provide analysis of defect data and drive improvement;Perform Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), 8 discipline problem solving process, and 5 whys;Communicate with corporate customers for discussing emerging quality issues and resolving customers complaints;Communicate with the engineering and production teams to ensure automobile parts quality and reliability;Assist with the development of quality objectives with other teams to achieve continuous quality improvement;Maintain and utilize quality management systems;Ensure that the production management team is aware of quality requirements and their compliance with quality requirements and quality standards;Support ISO and IATF certification and compliance activities; andPrepare quality data for tracking and managing quality issues and ensuring the issue solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field)
- Knowledge of mechanical and production engineering, automotive part structures, and material mechanics
- Proficiency in analyzing statistical data, conducting dimensional calculations, and using quality-related software
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements
- Skilled in using testing tools, measurement systems, and quality analysis methodologies.
