Job Description
AM/NS Calvert seeks Mechanical Maintenance/Reliability Engineer I responsible for planning and supporting reliability engineering projects, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives for steel manufacturing and refining equipment. Multiple positions available.
Daily duties include:
Investigate equipment inefficiencies and failures by performing FMEA analysis and other troubleshooting activities (15%) Develop written proposals and presentations for equipment upgrades and process flow modifications to address systemic issues and improve efficiency (15%) Perform equipment and process flow design and modeling (10%) Conduct equipment testing and production trials and analyze results (10%) Develop and deploy maintenance and operational best practices and maintenance schedules based on equipment longevity modeling (20%) Provide training and support to personnel involved in equipment maintenance activities (20%) Support audits of safety procedures for equipment maintenance (10%) Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted). Must have at least one year of mechanical/industrial engineering or technician experience in steel industry or comparable industrial setting.
