Quality Control Engineer Position Available In Bay, Florida

Our client is located in Panama City, FL and is looking to add a Quality Control Engineer to their team. The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for implementing quality assurance processes that monitor, inspect, assess, and enhance operational practices. This is a contract to hire role that will be primarily onsite.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards. Conduct tests and inspections to ensure products meet specifications. Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality issues. Document and report findings and recommend corrective actions. Support the Quality Culture through their detailed understanding of the company’s QMS and quality requirements. Integrate quality processes throughout the organization to drive performance improvement and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) in products and services. Implement qualification, testing, and inspection procedures and/or Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans throughout product and service delivery (e.g. Source, Receiving, In-Process, First Article Inspection (FAI), Final, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)) to ensure and document product fitness for use. Analyze product and service-related data to support prevention and resolution of quality issues. Audit quality systems for compliance and address identified findings and risks. Lead, contribute, and participate in Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) events. Exhibit good understanding of the company’s QMS and quality requirements. Collaborate with Supplier Quality to monitor and improve supplier performance. Lead in Root Cause investigations for significant issues and ensure effective corrective action is implemented to prevent recurrence of discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree Or equivalent experience. 5+ Years in Quality Engineer Role. Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles. Proficiency in quality assurance software and tools.
