Join Hitachi Energy as a Customer Quality Engineer at our Richland, MS location! In this challenging role, you will coordinate the analysis of failures and identify improvement potential. You’ll lead the implementation of Quality Methods Tools to enhance the efficiency of our Quality Management System. Interacting with all levels from senior management to the shop floor, you’ll bring the voice of the customer into the organization. How You’ll Make an ImpactLead root cause analysis of failures on High Voltage Products.
Coordinate customer complaints and ensure fast, sustainable solutions.
Prepare and present Root Cause Analysis reports to stakeholders.
Analyze information to identify root causes using systematic methodologies.
Implement Quality Methods Tools for successful business results.
Develop and monitor KPIs for informed business decisions.
Run improvement projects on specific topics.
Provide technical support and coordinate on-site investigations.
Your BackgroundBachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or associate degree with relevant experience).Knowledge of high voltage products or electrical power systems is desirable.
Background in quality function, engineering, manufacturing, product development, or project management.
Proficiency with Root Cause Analysis Tools (8D, DMAIC, 5 Why, Ishikawa).Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma; Green Belt L6S is a plus.
Experience communicating and resolving complex customer issues.
Proficiency with MS Office, SAP, SharePoint.
Fluent English skills; additional languages beneficial but not required.
Experience in quality management is a plus.
Good communication and cultural sensitivity.
