Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive quality systems, with a strong understanding of
IATF 16949 , VDA 6.3
, and
ISO 9001
standards. This role is critical in ensuring product and process compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with
IATF 16949, VDA
6.3, and
ISO 9001
standards across all quality processes. Lead and support internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, Supply Chain) to resolve quality concerns. Develop and maintain quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Work Instructions. Support APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and engineering changes. Monitor and analyze quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Interface with customers regarding quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and communication. Conduct supplier quality assessments and support supplier development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of
IATF 16949, VDA
6.3, and
ISO 9001
standards. Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. Proficient in problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).
