BASIC PURPOSE
- Quality Engineer manages QA support to the company for specific customers as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Makes decisions regarding customer quality and guides manufacturing in these decisions.
KEY RESULTS AREAS

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide quality engineering decisions regarding customer requirements (voice of the customer)
- Advise direction of inspectors to meet company or department goals and objectives
- Enforce & maintain product realization regarding quality requirements
- Prioritize customer work load(s)
- Contact customers regarding technical quality support
- CAPA and root cause analysis team leader
- Must be able to work outside normal working hours, overtime or alternate shifts to accommodate departmental needs when required.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Housekeeping, filing and folder maintenance
- Updating control plans
- Gage and fixture design
- Recommend purchase of gages and other equipment for QA department use
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- BA or BS in engineering related field, or equivalent years of work experience Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, especially plastic injection molding is preferred Skills
- Good technical and mechanical skills.
Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
