We are looking for an experienced quality-oriented individual with a strong commitment to ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and specifications throughout the production process. This is accomplished through maintaining high product quality through continuous monitoring, problem solving and process optimization within the manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors, inspects and evaluates products to ensure predetermined quality standards are met. Develops and updates testing-related documentation, including test cases, plans and flow-reporting procedures. Identifies issues with production related processes and recommends areas for improvement. Analysze product design to ensure stability and quality. Documents and compiles observation data for future analyses. Manages and maintains test case procedures and implements automated testing when possible Analyzes products to find design flaws and estimate product lifespan. Makes recommendations to improve product durability. Quality System Champion Day to day laboratory operations and personnel Customer & Supplier communication Conducting supplier audits Developing and implementing tools to better improve a process or a production process Positively impact and shape the quality culture Reporting monthly metrics not limited to: Supplier performance and Plant Performance KPI’s.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
BS Degree in Engineering from a four year college university or equivalent. Minimum 5 Experience as a Quality Engineer, Technician, or Coordinator. 5 years of Wire & Cable experience preferred Navy Shipyard experience preferred Ability to function autonomously and as a member of a team Ability to prioritize, and manage time effectively through the implementation of 80/20 Ability to adapt, and work with a cross functional team Good organization skills as well as communication skills Strong root cause analysis skills as well as implementation of effective corrective preventive actions Lean 6 sigma experience / green belt is preferred

Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate with members of the business team, customers, and suppliers.
