The Quality Engineering team is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Rockleigh, NJ. In this position, you will be part of a team of best-in-class quality engineers. Along with this team, you will own the quality of the products in Crestron’s Residential business unit, which has been one of the fastest-growing business verticals encompassing a wide array of products like the no-programming Home Automation Platforms, Audio over IP products, and 3rd party device drivers. As a member of the Quality Engineering team, the Senior QE Engineer will work closely with members of the Product Management and Development teams to define test plan and test cases that ensure that Crestron products are shipped at highest quality. Understanding the business, technical, and operational requirements will be key to building an efficient test strategy and plan. Ultimately, the Senior QE Engineer is responsible for delivering high quality product and demonstrating the same via defined metrics.

Responsibilities:

Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities.
Design, develop, and execute performance test cases.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Provide process improvement recommendations.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required. Masters is a plus.
A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in embedded systems involving firmware and hardware testing is required. Experience with defect tracking systems, test management systems and software revision control are required.
Experience in testing iOS and Android apps is required.
Experience in user experience testing is a plus.
Experience in IP and networking protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, Ethernet, IGMP, DHCP, Active Directory) is a plus.
Working knowledge of Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems is preferred.
Experience in Java, Python, C#, and/or HTML5 is a plus
Exceptional written and verbal skills is required.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality software to production within tight schedules is required.
Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality is critical.
Excellent team player with a consistently positive attitude and collaborative approach to problem solving, options analysis and continuous improvement of process, team and systems.
Ability to multitask across multiple complex features is essential
Team oriented; strong interpersonal skills is essential.
Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($88,500 – $143,000) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
