Job Description
Description + Developing processes and plans for Quality Control and Inspection tasks + Performing quality control checks on hardware and documented processes and procedures to validate efficiency, effectiveness, safety, and quality + Collaborating with engineering teams as needed to provide input and data to facilitate the design and fabrication of prototype equipment, parts, and systems + Inspecting and testing machined, fabricated, assembled parts, and products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications + Ensuring adherence to quality management procedures for projects IAW the Contractor’s Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP) and Process Documentation + Ensuring compliance with local policies, practices, and procedures to support and maintain requirements + Interfacing directly with project management team to provide status and progress reports, identifies issues, and determines appropriate resolution actions + Developing and executing process quality review procedures #LI-LL1 Requirements + 3 to 5 years providing Quality Control services + Ability to use precision measuring instruments + Working knowledge of the processes involved with hardware and software maintenance. Practical knowledge of basic engineering concepts such as the ability to interpret plans and drawings, and contribute to the design and fabrication of prototype specimens for test and evaluation + Ability to compile and present reports to management and engineering teams to illustrate and communicate findings from inspections Desired Skills + Mechanical Engineering degree + Experience with AutoCad and Solidworks + Experience developing Quality Assurance Program Plans to meet US Navy requirements Clearance Information
