401K Plan with 4% Company Match Job Duties and Responsibilities Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective communication, resolution of Quality issues, and responding to customer requests and complaints.
Work with Production leadership to ensure Production priorities are understood and met to the extent that the quality of the product is not compromised.
Manager incoming, in-process, and final inspection of raw material and components, and assemblies as required, including by 3rd party testing.
Define critical or control specifications and conduct part measurements to ensure compliance with tolerances.
Interact/visit customers to understand their quality requirements or address quality concerns.
Support the development of standards and methods for inspection and testing.
Lead or assist investigations into process or product Quality issues, determine the root and contributing causes, drive resolution, assess effectiveness, and ensure that the investigation and any new work process or quality improvement is documented.
Support and continually improve the use of quality core tools throughout the company: Advanced Product and Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) system.
Measure process capability across the plant, as needed.
Perform and manage QC First Article Inspection activities.
Perform internal audits to ensure that procedures are followed.
Ensure that QC Continual Improvement objectives are met.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis knowledge.
Proficient in the fundamentals of quality.
Ability to motivate teams.
Ability to work independently with little direction.
Experience in the implementation of Continuous Improvement projects.
Ability to act as a professional representative of the company with Suppliers, Customers, and External Auditors.
Knowledge of basic and advanced measuring equipment. e.g., calipers, micrometers, scales, CMM, Optical Comparator, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or mathematics. Two years’ experience working in manufacturing plus two years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment, OR Five years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
