HTI is working with a Tier 1 automotive supplier and one of the largest employee-owned companies in North America. With the new facility in Spartanburg, SC now operational, we’re hiring a Quality Engineer to support high-volume, precision-driven assembly operations.

What You Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
5+ years of experience in quality engineering, ideally in automotive manufacturing
Proficiency in advanced problem-solving tools (e.g., Kepner-Tregoe, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments)
Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process capability assessments
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Familiarity with customer complaint handling, SCAR documentation, and layered process audits
Knowledge of inspection tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, CMM, Roamer scans)

What Your Role Will Look Like:

Lead root cause analyses of quality issues and implement cost-effective corrective actions
Analyze quality data from internal and external sources to identify trends and areas for improvement
Manage engineering changes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process changes
Serve as the primary contact for engineering quality and product-related incidents
Ensure delivery of third-party quality metrics and identify new opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with teams to identify and communicate gaps in current policies, procedures, and processes
Challenge existing processes to increase efficiency and decrease cost
Provide timely responses to customer complaints and formal documentation (e.g., SCARs)
Participate in layered process audits and implement new inspection methods as needed
