Satellite and Payload System Test Authority Job Description We are seeking a Satellite and Payload System Test Authority to lead the design and development of test plans for satellites and payloads. This role requires ensuring alignment with verification and validation matrices and program objectives. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to establish testing methodologies and integrate tests according to program requirements. Responsibilities Conduct trade-off studies to design and develop test plans for satellites and payloads, ensuring alignment with verification and validation matrices and program objectives. Lead and develop test methods and requirements, oversee test procedures, and ensure their execution. Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to establish testing methodologies and integrate tests according to program requirements. Maintain verification and validation matrices throughout the program lifecycle, up to on-orbit commissioning, in collaboration with the SatOps team. Lead and coordinate satellite and payload testing, including EGSE, test supervision, data analysis, trending, and reporting. Support the development of satellite operation manuals and associated training programs. Develop and support In-Orbit Test (IOT) and anomaly resolution activities. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field. At least 10 years of relevant practical experience in digital communication commercial application in the space domain. Previous experience with
LEO/MEO/GEO
satellite communication systems. Understanding of Phased Array Antenna with multiple active elements and knowledge of various modulation types, signal processing, and Networking. Systems Engineering experience in concepts of space and ground segment, specification and integration, and knowledge of Flight Software and Satellite Database. Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in Constellation Operations. Development and testing of new automated methodologies. Knowledge of requirements management tools such as DOORS/Windchill/Jama. Demonstrated capability to work efficiently autonomously with little to no supervision. Strong written and verbal communications skills in English; knowledge of French will be considered favorably. Work Environment This is a remote opportunity with monthly international travel.
