Professional Acquisition Program Engineer, Journeyman

HX5 is currently seeking a Professional Acquisition Program Engineer, Senior to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct reviews on armament programs portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved.
Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective actions using application of engineering principles; perform validation of systems, including the development of criteria and procedures.
Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.
Provide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives in compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) processes.
Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies based on engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule.
Provide proposal analysis support services that compare and quantify proposed systems, components, approaches for technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness; provide concepts and requirements analyses support services including, but not limited to, reviewing and analyzing: Initial Capabilities Documents; CDDs; CPDs; AoAs; Military Utility Assessments (MUAs); CONOPS; Technology Development Strategies; Functional Configuration Audits/Physical Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs), and; Technology Standards Profiles.
Knowledge and experience in designing, planning, coordinating, executing and analyzing verification/validation, T&E programs. Includes developing Verification/ Validation (V/V) and T&E strategies and documentation (e.g. Test and Evaluation Master Plan) to verify/validate Armament Systems against performance requirements.
May also require experience in munitions handling, loading, storage checkout, transportation and electronic combat/weapon/aircraft compatibility issues, and statistical methods/Design of Experiments (DOE).
Verification tasks including analysis of resultant weapons fly-out data to analyze accuracy of modeling and simulation results and development of realistic and accurate target presentations for use in verification and validation of air-to-air missile firings
Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree from an ABET accredited program in related field with 5 years relevant experience
OR Master Degree in related field and 3 years relevant experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance by DOH
Must be able to travel, up to 10% including air travel.
