Position Overview
As a Water / Wastewater Engineer, you will oversee the planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects related to water treatment, wastewater treatment, hydraulic systems, and pipeline design. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and judgment to develop project designs.
Oversee data collection, analysis, and the development of detailed design reports.
Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, and visual aids using Autodesk Civil 3D and related software.
Liaise with equipment suppliers, vendors, and clients.
Prepare technical specifications, forms of tender, and cost estimates.
Provide contract administration support during project construction.
Lead and mentor junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
4+ years of experience in water, wastewater, or hydraulic infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in engineering software such as Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic analysis tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of direct experience in water/wastewater systems design or treatment facilities.
Familiarity with process modeling software and project management concepts.
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and client meetings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
