In this leadership role, you’ll drive process design and project management, mentor team members, engage with clients, and support business development initiatives. A leading Water Design Center is seeking a Process Engineer – Water Treatment Lead to join its team in Greenville, SC. This position offers the opportunity to lead a variety of water treatment plant projects from conceptual planning through detailed design and construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
The Process Engineer will manage projects through all phases, including facility and equipment layouts, design calculations, equipment vendor coordination, interdisciplinary team management, regulatory coordination, and quality reviews of design deliverables.
Specific focus areas include:
Leading drinking water process evaluations, selections, and implementations. Leading detailed designs for drinking water treatment processes such as: Coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation basins. Conventional and advanced filtration systems. Membrane treatment systems. Conventional and advanced disinfection systems. Pump selection and pump station design. Design of chemical storage and feed systems. Development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Preparation of specifications and contract documents. Supporting construction projects and overseeing the development of construction drawings and 3D models.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Biosystems/Biological Engineering. (Master’s degree preferred) 5+ years of direct design experience with municipal water treatment plants. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). About the
