We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team at TSE Brakes Inc. headquarters, located in Cullman, Alabama. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, with a focus on accounts payable, invoice processing, expense tracking, and assisting with month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure proper coding of invoices and adherence to company policies
Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to verify accuracy
Prepare and process payments (ACH, wire transfers, checks)
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Maintain organized records of accounts payable and vendor files
Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
Support accruals, account analysis, and variance reporting
Assist with audits by providing documentation and support as needed
Contribute to continuous improvement of AP processes and internal controls
Perform other general accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
0-2 years of accounting experience (internships or part-time roles are a plus)
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Teams)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
