About the Role We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. Reporting to the VP of Finance and Accounting, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in creating and maintaining the financial records to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in order to facilitate accurate financial reporting. This opportunity offers terrific potential for growth with a clear trajectory to a Controller role for the right candidate. We offer a hybrid flexible work schedule. The role is full-time but would consider a part-time person if they were a strong candidate with great skills and experience. Responsibilities Process accounts payable. Reconcile bank, loan and credit card accounts. Calculate earned and unearned revenue and reconcile to the billing system. Post transactions and journal entries to accounting ledgers. Perform a variety of balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations. Prepare interim and year-end work papers and year-end closing entries. Assist with financial statement preparation. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in industry or public accounting prefered Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferred) Required Skills Resourcefulness, critical thinking skills, problem solving, taking ownership a must Strong Excel skills a must, proficiency in accounting software. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
