Retail Operations Associate with Accounting Focus Home Treasures Furniture 12325 US Highway 72, Athens, AL 35611 Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while contributing to the overall success of our retail operations. This position requires a blend of sales skills and basic accounting & QuickBooks proficiency. Duties Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain knowledge of products, promotions, and store policies to effectively assist customers. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accurate accounting practices. Perform journal entries and assist with accounts receivable tasks as needed. Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy within the store. Assist with account reconciliation tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records. Requirements Previous experience in retail or customer service is mandatory. Basic understanding of corporate accounting principles, including debits and credits. Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software is a must; proficiency in general ledger accounting is desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate account reconciliations. Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work flexible hours as required by the business needs. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to retail operations and accounting functions.
