Job Description
Prepares effective and accurate financial reports to help the organization to make critical financial decisions to achieve and maintain the financial stability of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for the conference office, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Statement.
Prepare financial reports for quarterly and yearly executive meetings.
Prepare month-end and year-end adjusting and closing entries.
Manage and audit accounting transactions to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to both GAAP and Adventist Church Corporation policies.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions ensuring that payments are received, and vendor payments are made to maintain adequate cash flow.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
Review expense reimbursements to ensure they comply with financial policies.
Prepare annual and mid-year budgets based on past trends, forecasts, and projections.
Provide guidance on budget questions and operating within budget.
Assist with strategic and long-term business decisions through financial analysis and statistical reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly cash flow projections and create receivable and payable schedules to maintain adequate cash.
Conduct financial analysis and make financial recommendations to finance committee and Conference to improve the financial standing.
Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in accounting.
