Accountant Earthscapes Landscaping 1803 University Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35801 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and demonstrate proficiency in managing various accounting functions. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records. The position will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable, and performing tax-related tasks, organizing and tracking company receipts, among other duties. Duties Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Conduct thorough account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. Assist with payroll processing. Handle tax preparation and filing, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws. Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process. Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks and to streamline accounting processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is a plus. Proven experience in financial accounting. Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software (minimum 5 years experience). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
