As a Cost Analyst , you will be responsible for analyzing part-level costs, tracking fluctuations, and contributing to accurate financial reporting on a weekly and monthly basis. This position requires strong financial acumen, system literacy, and collaboration across multiple departments to drive cost efficiency and informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities Material Cost Analysis Lead material cost calculations at the vehicle level, monitoring target achievement and reporting to leadership. Consolidate and analyze cost data by vehicle and supplier, identifying key variances. Assess cost fluctuations related to tariffs, raw materials, labor, and other variables; collaborate with Procurement and Finance to support pricing strategies. Validate, forecast, and track procurement costs to support financial planning. Evaluate impacts of product design or process changes on cost and profitability. Investment Budget Management Manage the overall tooling budget in alignment with development timelines. Oversee the tooling assetization process, ensuring compliance and proper financial treatment in partnership with Finance. VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) Track and report on cost-saving initiatives proposed by buyers and suppliers. Participate in product teardown and cost-review events to identify optimization opportunities. Support internal and supplier meetings focused on cost reduction. Supplier Reconciliations Oversee periodic cost re-evaluation and material cost adjustments. Manage retroactive cost changes in SAP and coordinate with Finance to ensure smooth implementation. Additional Responsibilities Support cost-effective sourcing and localization strategies. Own administrative and reporting tasks within the Cost Management function. Provide analytical support to the Purchasing team as needed. Contribute to departmental goals through ad hoc projects and data reporting. What You Bring to the Role Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field. At least 2 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Cost Analysis in a manufacturing setting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and general MS Office proficiency. Experience with SAP ERP or similar systems preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. High integrity and a strong sense of professionalism. Effective communicator and team collaborator. Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Limited travel may be required (less than 5%). Preferred Qualifications Automotive or manufacturing industry experience, particularly with cost analysis. Familiarity with OEM/supplier relationships and commodity management. Deep understanding of cost structure and pricing breakdowns. Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus. Flexible schedule and willingness to support operations during off-hours if needed.
