Davidson is seeking a Contract Billing and Project Accountant, HSV in Huntsville, AL.
The individual should be detail-oriented and proactive with experience in Deltek Costpoint to support billing operations and project setup/maintenance in a fast-paced government contracting environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate billing, project data integrity, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Enter and maintain project records in Deltek Costpoint, including contract setup, project codes, billing terms, and funding details.
Generate, review, and submit accurate invoices in accordance with contract terms, FAR/DFARS requirements, and company policies.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Contracts, and Accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate billing and project setup.
Reconcile billing discrepancies and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding project and invoice data.
Maintain documentation for audit readiness and support

DCAA/DCMA

compliance.
Assist with month-end close activities related to revenue recognition and unbilled receivables.
Support internal process improvements and contribute to system/data integrity efforts.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in project billing, project setup, or related roles within a Government Contracting environment.
Proficient in Deltek Costpoint (project, billing, and accounting modules).
Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, T&M, CPFF, and FFP billing types.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting DCAA-compliant environments.
Familiarity with government invoicing portals (e.g., WAWF/iRAPT) and contractor invoicing portals (e.g., PLSC2/Exostar.)
Knowledge of indirect rate structures and revenue recognition
