Job Description
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be part of an organization within the medical staffing industry, where you will be expected to manage a variety of accounting tasks. Your workplace will be a hybrid environment, allowing you a blend of remote and on-site work.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct comprehensive reconciliations of all bank transactions.
- Serve as a backup for tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Generate and analyze financial reports as required.
- Support the billing process, ensuring that all invoices are sent and paid on time.
- Utilize the Kronos system for various accounting functionalities.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial information is accurately recorded.
- Perform other accounting duties as necessary. Requirements
- Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks
- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
- Solid understanding of General Ledger management
- Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries
- Knowledge and experience with Month End Close procedures
- Familiarity with Kronos timekeeping system
