Job Description

Purpose of Position To maintain certain financial reports, records and general ledgers; prepares budgets, and performs general bookkeeping. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions Copies recurring batches for posting each month. Ensures assigned accounts are reconciled by a monthly date determined by the Controller. Maintains unclaimed property notices, letters, checks, and communicating changes to the treasury manager. Completes various other financial projects as set forth by the Assistant Controller or Controller. Maintains annual support recurring orders and processes invoices yearly in GP. Prepares and processes mass mail out of invoices. Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Prepare and post revenue journal entries. Email or submit invoices to customer’s web based portal. Compile data and generate accounting statements and reports. Conduct account research and analysis. Prepares regular periodic and special accounting reports. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Assist in month-end financial close. Assists in other duties as needed and directed. Prepares bank deposits. Investigates and resolves client queries and other accounts receivable issues. Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Prepares regular periodic and special accounting reports. Carries out billing and reporting activities according to specific deadlines. Organizes and maintains up to date financial records Provide backup support to other groups in the accounting department, type periodic reports and perform other general administrative duties. Assists Accounts Receivable associates as needed to meet department deadlines, including assisting with overloads. Acts as a positive role model in all aspects of professional performance Observes safety procedures and personnel policies. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Assist in month-end financial close. Marginal Functions Occasionally schedules or arranges meetings. Gathers information for supervisor or manager. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to hear clearly with or without aids and see clearly with or without corrective lenses. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and move around the building and elsewhere occasionally. Must be able to travel by car regularly.
