Our client is looking for a talented Project Accountant to take the lead in managing project finances for a growing and well-respected architecture and engineering firm in downtown Montgomery. Be the direct successor to a long-tenured accountant who built out efficient systems
Collaborate with passionate project managers and senior leadership daily Compensation $65,000 – $80,000 depending on experience What You’ll Be Doing Coordinate with project managers to establish and manage project billing timelines
Generate and deliver accurate invoices to clients, ensuring consistency and timeliness
Review and enter vendor, consultant, and subcontractor billing details against active projects
Monitor project-related expenses and keep them aligned with approved budgets
Record incoming payments and maintain organized financial documentation
Partner with internal teams to ensure project data is accurate and up to date
Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting activities as needed What You’ll Need to be Considered Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent project accounting experience
3-5 years of project accounting experience in a construction environment engineering or construction environment
Familiarity with ERP system (Deltek preferred)
Ability to work 100% onsite in Montgomery, AL
