The Payroll Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate payroll records and contributing to the financial integrity of our growing organization. Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate, up-to-date calculations and records of payroll and related accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. Prepare accurate journal entries in a timely manner. Including by not limited to compensation expense, bonus accruals, benefits and intercompany reclassifications.
Reconcile payroll and related accounts during the month end close process.
Summarize, transform and present data in a concise and meaningful manner.
Manage project requests with an innovative approach and superior attention to detail.
Work with internal and external teams, including Finance, HR, and Payroll.
Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement with the goal of gaining efficiencies and sophistication for the accounting function, payroll function, and SVP as an organization.
Display excellent organization skills with the ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously.
Stay current and comply with current payroll practices and laws.

Qualifications:

CPP designation and/or Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field.
1+ years of experience with Accounting and Payroll software preferred.
1+ years experience in accounting, audit or other relevant professional capacity preferred.
Advanced Excel Skills and working with large amounts of data.
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
Optimize efficiency and solution-oriented attitude.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little to no supervision.
Experience working in Accounting software preferred. Benefits
