Bookkeeper/Accountant Terry Hogge Electric 800 Shelton Shores Dr, Talladega, AL 35160 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, handling accounts payable, creating invoices to customer, and paying taxes. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks. Responsibilities Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements. Conduct bank reconciliation to verify transactions. Maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately. Assist in technical accounting tasks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Collaborate with public accounting firm for audits and tax preparation. Provide support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Handle bids coming through Alabama Buys. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not a requirement. Proven experience in account reconciliation and general ledger accounting. Proficient in Excel Spreadsheets. Proficient in Quickbooks. Strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting principles.
Knowledge of taxes:
