Stillman College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting in the School of Business, Entrepreneurship, Computational & Information Sciences, beginning in August 2025. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing academic program within a business school accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). We are seeking a passionate educator and scholar who can teach across multiple accounting sub-disciplines, engage students through innovative instruction, and actively participate in service and scholarship. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and collaborative academic community dedicated to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and student success.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate accounting courses in traditional and online formats.
Deliver engaging, inclusive, and student-centered instruction.
Advise and mentor accounting majors and general education students.
Participate in curriculum design and continuous course improvement.
Contribute to college service through committee participation and community engagement.
Maintain an active presence in academic and professional communities.
Collaborate effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
Perform additional instructional or service-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Accounting or Finance from an AACSB-accredited institution.(Candidates with a master’s degree or ABD status may be considered.)
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
Evidence of leadership or significant experience in accounting education or administration.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings.
Responsiveness to the academic needs of students and faculty.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
Prior professional experience in accounting or finance.
College-level teaching experience with positive student evaluations.
Familiarity with Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Online teaching certification or experience with online instruction.
