Senior Accountant Position Available In Sebastian, Arkansas

Senior Accountant SPF America 5510 S 66th St, Fort Smith, AR 72903 SPF America, LLC is currently hiring a Senior Accountant for our Fort Smith, AR location. We offer a family-oriented working environment and the ability to learn and grow within the organization. The Senior Accountant will support our facilities in Fort Smith, AR; Matamoros, Mexico; and Santa Catarina, Mexico. Successful candidates will have keen attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and display a sense of urgency. The primary responsibility is ensuring SPF Companies are proactive on expenses, budget, profitability, and notifies the Controller of any irregularities.

General Overview:

The Senior Accountant’s focus will be the awareness of company expenses, budget adherence, and profitability trends.

Duties:

• Collect and organize cost information within Plex (ERP)
• Develop systems to accumulate and monitor cost data
• Determine formulas for fixed and variable costs and maintain data in Plex
• Develop departmental budgets and prepare monthly reports for management
• Project profit margins monthly and quarterly and publish a report for management
• Analyze month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements
• Work with production personnel and engineering to implement cost-improvement ideas and track progress.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Demonstrated advanced communication and analytical skills along with organizational skills and great attention to detail
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Plex ERP system
• Proficiency to learn new systems and processes and be able to communicate effectively with team members from all levels of the organization
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Proficient in making decisions and solving problems
• Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work
• BS in Accounting or Finance discipline
