Financial Accountant Specialized Real Estate Group Inc Fayetteville, AR 72701 • Hybrid work Financial Accountant Fayetteville, AR In-office/remote hybrid Description Specialized Real Estate Group is a dynamic Real Estate Development, Construction and Property Management company developing long term projects in the NWA area. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our team! This role will be responsible for standard accounting functions while leading efforts to streamline and optimize financial processes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited to drive innovation within the accounting function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with development project managers, construction managers, and property managers to ensure accurate job costing, billing, and reporting Drive the design and implementation of process improvements and help build scalable accounting workflows to support the growth of the company Support key parts of our Sage Intacct re-implementation — primarily focusing on workflow automation and training Analyze existing accounting processes to identify inefficiencies and gaps, initially focusing on the development and construction cash cycle Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate manual workflows and implement best in class practices Document improved procedures and create internal control frameworks to support new processes Own daily and monthly accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, oversee general A/P process, and support month-end close across multiple entities and projects Review and process consultant and contractor invoices for multiple development and construction projects, ensuring proper coding to general ledger accounts and job cost categories Support Controller by assisting with financial reporting, audit prep, and compliance with lender and investor reporting requirements Ensure data integrity and adherence to internal controls, GAAP, and company financial policies Prepare and process weekly bill pay, ACH payments, and wire transfers for multiple projects and properties

Experience/Skills/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field 3-7+ years of general accounting experience preferred, accounts payable experience required; development/construction or property management accounting experience a plus Familiarity with job costing and construction billing procedures (AIA forms) a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP/accounting systems Experience with Entrata, Yardi or other property management software a plus Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities, achieving results under tight deadlines without close supervision Strong quantitative and analytical skills and demonstrated resourcefulness A reliable self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team Why you’ll love working for us : Competitive pay Comprehensive medical, dental & vision insurance Company-paid short-term disability insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match and immediate vesting Paid time off (PTO) & paid holidays Paid maternity/paternity leave About Specialized Real Estate Group Specialized Real Estate Group is a values-driven real estate development and property management company based in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
