Senior Corporate Accountant Location:
Farmington, CT Compensation:
up to $110k plus bonus

Generous PTO and Health Insurance package Our healthcare client company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our growing finance team at a private equity-backed physician group specializing in surgery centers. This role will be instrumental in supporting our financial reporting, month-end close processes, and board communications while managing the unique accounting requirements that come with private equity ownership and multi-location healthcare operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare comprehensive financial reports for private equity stakeholders, including monthly reporting packages with key performance indicators and variance analysis Develop and maintain board presentation materials and executive summary decks for quarterly board meetings Analyze financial performance across multiple surgery center locations and provide actionable insights to management Month-End Close & Accounting Operations Lead and execute monthly close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation Review and analyze balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies Ensure compliance with GAAP and private equity reporting requirements Special Projects & Process Improvement Participate in acquisition-related financial due diligence and integration activities Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation Support implementation of new systems and procedures Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed Required Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-location businesses Previous experience with private equity-backed companies strongly preferred CPA certification preferred but not required Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
