Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join their mission-driven non-profit organization. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization’s efforts to make a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Management:
Maintain the general ledger, process journal entries, and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. +
Billing and Reporting:
Prepare regular financial reports, assist with donor reporting, and support grant accounting in compliance with funding requirements. +
Month-End and Year-End Close:
Assist in closing processes, including preparing budgets, forecasts, and year-end reconciliations. +
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process invoices, payments, contributions, and other transactions while ensuring timely and accurate reporting. +
Payroll Support:
Collaborate with payroll staff or handle payroll processing to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time. +
Audit Preparation:

Requirements Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience). + 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit and/or healthcare setting. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and strong Microsoft Excel skills. + Knowledge of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles. + Experience with grant management and budget reporting is a plus. + Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
