Sr. Tax Accountant needed for contract role. Work is remote but only looking for people in the EST that are able to work on our
W2. USC/GC
only.

The Sr. Tax Accountant is responsible for specific tasks relating to the preparation of federal, state, sales and use and premium tax returns and estimated tax payments. The role may include broad responsibilities or require a more narrow focus, such as developing expertise in the taxation of investments or other specific tax areas.

Assist in resolution of notices and audits; including coordinating with audit agents and internal Tax and Treasury teams
Assist in setup and management of online account portals
Assist in tax account reconciliations
Assist with other projects as needed
Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
3-10 years’ experience, public accounting experience preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret tax laws and determine impact on the organization
Ability to write memos, procedures and other correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and business units
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Willingness to make decisions, support and explain reasoning for decision and include appropriate individuals in decision-making process
Reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect, accepts responsibilities for own actions and follows through on commitments
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with advanced Excel skills preferred
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, looks for ways to improve and promote quality
