In this role, you will play a key part inoverseeing and managing the payroll functions for both corporate,commissary and restaurant employees. This role will utilize Paycorto process payroll and handle all related responsibilities,including tax calculations, deductions, and compliance with stateand federal labor laws. The Payroll Accountant will also workclosely with HR, Accounting and Finance, and department leaders toensure the smooth functioning of payroll systems and resolve anydiscrepancies. In addition, the Payroll Accountant will beresponsible for Fixed Asset, Brand Development Fund and multipleregional co-ops accounting and related financial reporting. Youwill collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders todeliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. KeyResponsibilities
- Oversee the Paycor payroll process for 1,300employees across corporate, commissary and restaurant locations.
- Process bi-weekly payroll using Paycor, ensuring all hours worked,tips, and bonuses are accurately calculated.
- Ensure all payrolldata is entered correctly, including employee deductions, benefitsand garnishments.
- Manage time and attendance records and ensurethe accuracy of time entries.
- Ensure compliance with federal,state, and local tax regulations, as well as labor laws, includingwage and hour regulations.
- Generate payroll reports formanagement, Accounting and Finance, and HR departments.
- Stayupdated on changing payroll laws and ensure the business remains incompliance.
- Administer Paycor payroll system, including regularupdates, troubleshooting issues, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with Paycor support to resolve system issues, payrolldiscrepancies and report development.
- Address employee inquiriesregarding payroll, deductions, 401k, and related matters in atimely and professional manner.
- Investigate and resolve payrolldiscrepancies and issues, ensuring employees are paid accuratelyand on time.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and securityregarding payroll data and personal information.
Work closely withHR and Accounting and Finance departments to ensure smoothcoordination between payroll, benefits, and financial reporting.
Support department managers with payroll-related inquiries andemployee compensation issues. Assist in payroll audits and annualcompensation reviews. Handle 401k processing, reporting and annualaudit with external auditors. Monitor payroll processes andrecommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, andcost-effectiveness. Stay updated with payroll best practices,technology, and tools to streamline payroll operations. CompleteFixed Asset Accounting for Corporate, Commissary and Restaurantlocations. Responsible for the Brand Development Fund and variousCo-Ops Accounting, Financial Reporting and monthly Marketingreview.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience with Paycoror similar payroll systems. In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, taxregulations, and compliance requirements (federal, state, andlocal). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reportingtools. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, andthe ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong problem-solvingskills and the ability to handle complex payroll issues. Ability tomaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information withprofessionalism. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree inAccounting and/or Business Administration, or a related field(preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in payrollmanagement, preferably with a combination of corporate andrestaurant payroll experience.
