Senior Accountant (Contractor)

Work Hours:

8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday.

Location:

Shelton, CT (Remote to start until Covid restrictions arelifted) Position Description A performance-driven Individual whounderstands financial information, transactional accounting, andinternal controls. You are relationship orientated and will beresponsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations ofthe Client General Accounting Organization. You will ensure thatfinancial activities are aligned with Company goals and objectives,in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles, and incompliance with government regulations and Client CorporateAccounting policies. We need a local candidate to Shelton, CT, theposition will be remote to start but when the office opens thecandidate will need to commute to Shelton, CT Skills RequiredBachelor s degree in accountancy. At least 5 years of similarexperience, which is likely to include at least 2 years in publicaccounting. Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley regulations. Anunderstanding of the financial close process Knowledge of internalcontrols and how to effectively implement them. The ability toevaluate process effectiveness and determine appropriate actions toimprove through incremental actions Ability to understand complexaccounting matters and work independently with limited supervision.

An analytical mindset and ability to identify sources of financialfluctuations. Must be able to effectively communicate and presentcomplex technical and functional analyses and ideas to management.

Preferred Experience with SAP and/or HFM eCommerce and/or logisticsindustry experience Master s degree and/or a current CPA (orequivalent) license
